Driver/Yards Person - SA

The Role

We are seeking a motivated Driver/Yards Person with a willingness to join our SA Hire team. The nature of the fast-paced hire industry requires flexible individuals who can adapt quickly, are strong communicators, and have the ability to think on their feet.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the SA Hire Operations Manager, your key duties will include:

• Dispatching of hire equipment

• Conducting quality checks

• General yard duties

• Carrying out minor repairs to VMS boards (e.g., cleaning solar panels, replacing globes in taillights, checking water levels in batteries, repairing trailer plugs)

• Carrying out cleaning and repairs to plastic water-filled barriers and associated barriers

Skills / Experience / Qualifications:

• Reliable transport is essential

• Manual Driver's Licence

• Experience in a freight/delivery environment (including loading & unloading, multi-drop deliveries, and customer service) is preferred but not essential

• Welding and/or Poly Welding experience will be highly regarded

• Auto electrical and/or mechanical experience will be highly regarded

• Forklift Licence (current)

• Good attention to detail

• Good organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively

• Willingness to work overtime and assist in night shift rostering for new project installations as required
