We are currently seeking applications for a Communications and Engagement and Lead to join the Office of the Industry Advocate at The Department of Treasury & Finance for a period of 2 years on a long-term basis.
Remuneration: ASO6 - ASO7. Salary based on qualification and depending on experience.
ASO6 - $98,478 - $104,165 p.a.
ASO7 - $108,109 - $116,864 p.a
About the opportunity:
We currently have an opportunity to join our small team as the Communications and Engagement Coordinator on a full-time term basis for a 2-year contract (subject to project funding).
The position of Engagement and Communication Lead is responsible in developing, implementing, promoting and managing a program of workshops and events that are focussed on improving their chances of winning and/or participating in state government work.
The Communications and Engagement and Lead will also work closely with the Industry Advocate to communicate all aspects of government's commitment to industry participation and jobs.
The Office of the Industry Advocate's (OIA) Connecting with Business program forms part of the OIA Business and Industry Engagement strategy as it identifies opportunities for local businesses and provides businesses with information on how to capitalise on State procurement opportunities.
The role supports the OIA to meet requirements under the Industry Advocate Act 2017 with particular emphasis on increasing the number and diversity of South Australian businesses winning government contracts.

The Office of the Industry Advocate (OIA) supports the Industry Advocate, a Statutory Officer, in fulfilling the functions outlined in the Industry Advocate Act 2017. The OIA plays a key role in ensuring the effective implementation of the South Australian Industry Participation Policy (SAIPP) and the associated SAIPP Procedural Guidelines. The South Australian Industry Participation Policy aims to generate both direct and indirect economic benefits for the State through government procurement and grant processes. It supports broader government goals such as South Australian job creation, small and medium enterprise (SMEs) participation in government contracts, Aboriginal employment and supply chain opportunities, innovation, social and environmental outcomes, and the promotion of apprenticeships and training opportunities.
