The OpportunityOur team is growing, and we are now seeking a reliable and motivated CNC Laser Cutting Operator to join our team.
As our CNC Laser Cutting Operator you will play a major role in the Role is required for the installation, commissioning and training of the laser cutting machine. You will also ensure efficient machine operation, monitor production quality, and perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- The installation, commissioning and training of the laser cutting machine.
- Operate CNC laser engraving and cutting machines, production machinery, or assist other machine operators.
- Select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs, set machine parameters, and position fixtures for optimal equipment performance.
- Establish proper stop locations and adjust the laser beam focal point.
- Create and edit laser cut files from CAD drawings in various formats using CorelDRAW or Adobe Illustrator.
- Prepare, lay out, and arrange parts in the laser software for optimal engraving and cutting efficiency.
- Manage and maintain files to ensure revision levels remain consistent.
- Monitor the fill levels of the chiller system and process gases, and report when reordering is required.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines and equipment as required.

- Maintain PPE standards and report any safety concerns
- Participate in required safety training and investigations
- Experience operating CO2/Nitrogen laser and CNC cutting machines.
- Knowledge of shielding gases used in the laser cutting process, including appropriate nozzle sizes and tooling.
- Proficient in reading and accurately using measuring tools such as tape measures, callipers, and micrometres in both imperial (inches) and metric units.
- Skilled in identifying parts by part number, measurements, and material grade.
- Provide First Aid - HLTAID011
