Client

A national organisation is seeking a CDTO to define and deliver a multi-year data and technology strategy. Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, this role leads enterprise-wide technology, data, AI, cybersecurity, and service delivery to achieve strategic outcomes.

The Role

This newly created position combines stabilising core systems with driving transformation. You will shape the technology roadmap, modernise service delivery, and influence organisational strategy in a complex, high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise technology and data strategy (infrastructure, AI, cybersecurity, service delivery)
  • Oversee multi-channel service operations (phone, text, chat)
  • Drive innovation while ensuring reliability, cost control, and risk management
  • Establish governance, standardisation, and performance metrics
  • Build and lead high-performing, accountable teams
  • Embed data, analytics, and AI to support evidence-based decision-making

About You

  • Senior leadership experience in technology, digital, or data roles
  • Background in service delivery environments (e.g. health, telehealth, or complex operations)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement at executive and board level
  • Proven track record in transformation, system stabilisation, and delivering measurable outcomes
  • Expertise in cybersecurity, data governance, and emerging technologies (ISO27001 familiarity desirable)
  • Experience managing vendors and technology partners
  • Strong commercial, financial, and risk management capability
  • Demonstrated success in organisational change or innovation programs
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (cybersecurity certifications desirable)
  • Collaborative leadership style with a focus on culture, engagement, and high performance
