Positioned in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, just footsteps from Hyde Park and a short stroll from Pitt Street Mall, QVB, theatres and other iconic attractions. The Porter House Hotel is a stylish sanctuary, blending architectural design with the charms of yesteryear. With 122 guest rooms designed for the modern traveller, fitness centre, outdoor heated swimming pool and a hospitality destination spanning three unique venues, The Porter House Hotel is a place to meet and explore, to linger and find yourself happily lost within. Trippas White Group manages the hospitality operations at Porter House - including a la carte service, events, in-room dining etc. We are currently recruiting for a skilled Chef to assist our team to deliver an exceptional food service experience. This hands-on role will require you to work as a key member of the kitchen team, assisting with different areas back of house in the kitchen from cooking and preparing dishes for service, in-room dining and events. You will be training new and junior staff, and carrying out stock inventory management duties too. Experience Required: 2+ years' Experience in general food preparation and presentation in a high volume, high end venue Food and hygiene food safety certificates preferred. Great personal grooming, presentation, and a confident and pleasant manner Excellent verbal communication.
