Job Description
Oaks Cairns Hotel are looking for multiple enthusiastic and service-driven Bartender / Food & Beverage Attendants to join our vibrant team on a casual basis.
In this dual role, you’ll work across both the bar and restaurant floor, supporting smooth service during lunch and evening shifts. If you’re passionate about hospitality, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy creating memorable guest experiences, with flexibility required across seven days, including weekends and public holidays we’d love to hear from you.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing exceptional service to all guests across the restaurant and bar.
Taking and delivering orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Preparing and serving beverages to a high standard, maintaining bar cleanliness and stock levels.
Recommending menu items confidently, sharing your knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
Maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and resolving guest needs with professionalism and warmth.
Shift Details:
Rotating roster across Monday through to Sunday
Shifts starting from 12.00pm (subject to change)
A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification
Hourly rates (excluding super):
Monday – Friday: $31.19 per hourSaturday: $37.43 per hourSunday: $43.66 per hour
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
Previous experience as a waitstaff, bartender, or all-rounder in a hospitality environment.
A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification.
A warm and approachable demeanour with a positive attitude.
Professional presentation and exceptional communication skills.
Reliability, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
