Advancement Assistant (Marketing Assistant)

Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Communications and Engagement the Advancement Assistant will work closely with the Director and the Engagement Team (Enrolments, Development and Community, Marketing and Communication) in the execution of marketing and event campaigns and projects to enhance student recruitment and engagement with internal and external communities.
This is a part time (up to 0.9) role.
Professional Responsibilities
The key areas of focus for this role include:
Marketing and Communications Support
· Assist with the Newsletter, photography, social media, website and in-house printing to maintain brand consistency and storytelling.
· Seek out content opportunities by attending events, engaging with the school community, and capturing photographs and stories to enhance digital and print communications.
· Update promotional material across key areas in the College and remove old materials regularly.
Event Support
· Support the delivery of Engagement events, ensuring exceptional experiences for all participants
Stakeholder Engagement
· Build positive relationships across the College community, alumni, donors, and external partners to support Advancement initiatives.
General Administration
· Provide administrative support to Advancement activities.
Key Selection Criteria
This position requires a ‘can do, energetic individual. The ideal candidate will possess the following professional and personal abilities, attributes, and experiences:
Required
· Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) for content creation.
· ICT skills in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Experience and knowledge of social media and developing engaging content ideas.
· Desire to continue building skill set with education and training.
Desired
· Bachelors degree (or equivalent), or working towards this qualification, in graphic design, communications, marketing, event management or a related discipline.
· 1-2 years of experience in event coordination, marketing, communications, customer service, or administration roles.
· Strong photography skills with the ability to capture and curate visual content for marketing, events, and communications.
