Global Vision Recruitment on behalf of Shiny Surfaces Pty Ltd T/A Derrinallum Supermarket and Hardware Store Position: Retail Manager Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per annum plus 12% Superannuation Hours: 38 hours per week Mode: Full Time Location: 40 Main Street Derrinallum VIC 3325 Experience required: Minimum 3 years experience in retail management About Us: Derrinallum Supermarket and Hardware Store is a cornerstone of our local community, offering quality groceries, household essentials, and hardware products. We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to lead our team, drive store performance, and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. Role Overview: As Retail Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring both the supermarket and hardware sections run smoothly. You will be responsible for maximising sales, maintaining stock levels, supporting and developing staff, and upholding high standards for customer service and safety. Duties but are not limited to: · Lead the store team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a motivated and high-performing workforce. · Manage stock, ensuring popular items are always available and seasonal or promotional products are well presented. · Set pricing strategies, plan promotions, and create marketing initiatives to attract and retain customers. · Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting shoppers, providing advice on products, and resolving enquiries effectively. · Monitor store performance, including sales, budgets, and operational efficiency, and implement improvements where needed. · Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers. · Support the overall growth and reputation of the store through strong leadership, organisation, and attention to detail. Qualifications: · Tertiary qualification in Retail Management, Business Administration, or Hospitality Management (preferred but not required) Skills & Requirements: · Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory or management role within the food or retail industry. · Proven success in team leadership, operations, and customer service excellence. · Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. · Sound knowledge of inventory control, budgeting, and sales analysis. · Familiarity with WHS and food safety compliance standards. · Proficiency in POS systems, rostering, and operational reporting.
