Senior Clinician – Wellbeing4Kids Program

Location: Tamworth Part-Time | up to 4 days per week HPA Level 3 ( $48.23 -$53.31per hour) + Salary Packaging up to $18,550 + Super ‍⚕️ Psychologist, RN, Occupational Therapist or Counsellor

About the role

Join Uniting’s Wellbeing4Kids: Tamworth - Kamilaroi program – a free service supporting children under 12 with emerging mental health difficulties.

As a Senior Clinician, you will deliver therapeutic interventions that promote child-led strength based mental health strategies and supports. You will work with children experiencing mild to moderate emotional, social, and behavioural challenges, while empowering families in their wellbeing journey. This role also provides leadership, ensuring best practice, and maintaining high-quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based mental health therapeutic interventions.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, schools, GPs, and support networks.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

You’ll bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Counselling (or equivalent).
  • Provisional or full membership with AHPRA or relevant professional body.
  • Clinical experience supporting children under 12 years of age across different ages and developmental stages.
  • Experience in evidence-based treatment, case management, and family-inclusive practice.
  • Strong knowledge of child and family mental health and wellbeing frameworks.
  • Current Working With Children Check and NSW Driver’s Licence.
