A key focus of this role will be to work closely with geoscientists, data scientists, and data engineers to develop and maintain a global predictive uranium mineral system model.

\n

Role Description

\n
    \n
  • A senior technical member of the uranium exploration team responsible for identifying, assessing, recommending, and progressing new uranium exploration opportunities globally and within defined regions.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with geoscientists and data scientists to advance the development of a global predictive uranium mineral system model, including the definition of key mineral system components, critical processes, mappable criteria, and dataset requirements.
  • \n
  • Work closely with data scientists and data engineers to design uranium-relevant feature layers, interrogate large datasets, test predictive criteria, and support prospectivity mapping workflows.
  • \n
  • Apply a deep understanding of basin-related mineral systems, with an emphasis on uranium, to generate and advance new exploration concepts from regional-scale reconnaissance to high-quality targets.
  • \n
  • Provide expert geological input into technical reviews, opportunity ranking, portfolio prioritisation, and investment recommendations.
  • \n
  • Provide technical guidance on uranium targeting, basin analysis, alteration systems, structural controls, geochemical vectors, geophysical responses, and exploration program design.
  • \n
  • Mentor and develop exploration team members by sharing uranium exploration knowledge, Mineral Systems thinking, data integration approaches, and technical interpretation skills.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with diverse, multidisciplinary, and talented investment teams to deliver efficient and effective exploration work programs.
  • \n
About You\n

As the successful candidate you will have:

  • Knowledge of the application of AI/ML methodologies to mineral exploration, such as feature engineering, predictive targeting, prospectivity analysis, and the integration of large geoscientific datasets.
  • \n
  • Strong capability in integrating geological, geochemical, geophysical, and spatial datasets, and working collaboratively with data scientists and data engineers to support predictive targeting and mineral systems modelling.
  • \n
  • Communicates technical concepts clearly to different audiences, including technical specialists, commercial stakeholders, and senior leaders.
