The Wholesale Furniture Co. (TWFC) is a dynamic and fast-growing furniture retail business, bringing high-quality, modern furniture with exceptional value directly to customers throughout Queensland. With nine retail showrooms and plans for further expansion, TWFC is becoming one of Queensland’s most popular furniture destinations.
We are now seeking an experienced and committed Transport Manager to join our warehouse team at our large, modern 25,000sqm distribution facility. This is a critical operational role responsible for leading our transport fleet, ensuring smooth customer deliveries, and connecting our warehouse and store operations seamlessly.
About the RoleThe Transport Manager will oversee all daily transport operations, including:
Managing a growing fleet, with future fleet expansion planned.
Coordinating customer home deliveries and stock-to-store movements across Queensland.
Ensuring delivery routes, zoning, and scheduling are optimised for efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness.
Leading and supporting drivers and offsiders to uphold TWFC’s high customer service standards.
Maintaining strong communication between the warehouse team, store teams, and customers.
Overseeing delivery quality control and managing corrective processes for any failed or incomplete deliveries.
Ensuring compliance with all transport, WHS, and chain-of-responsibility requirements.
Continually reviewing and improving transport processes to support the company’s growth.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience managing a large and growing transport fleet, ideally within bulky goods, furniture, or similar industries.
Strong logistics knowledge, including route planning, zoning, and delivery optimisation.
A history of providing exceptional customer service and the ability to resolve customer issues professionally and promptly.
Experience coordinating high-volume delivery operations across mixed customer and retail store networks.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to support, coach, and motivate drivers and transport team members.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, particularly when dealing with delivery issues, failed deliveries, or time-sensitive customer needs.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
