Global Vision Recruitment on behalf of Techno Services Pty Ltd Date Posted: 02nd March 2026 Position: Telecommunications Technical Officer Salary: $80,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation Employment Type: Full-Time (38 hours per week) Primary Location: F10B, 47 Ashmore Road, Bundall QLD 4217 Operational Offices: Northern Territory Office – 6/370 Stuart Hwy, Winnellie NT 0820 Tasmania Office – 47 Musks Rd, Sandford TAS Experience Required: Minimum 2–3 years relevant industry experience Techno Services Pty Ltd is a nationally operating Telecommunications and IT solutions provider delivering Wireless Network Build, SAED Design & Deployment, Transmission Systems, and Infrastructure Rollout services across Australia. To support ongoing wireless deployment and transmission infrastructure programs, we are seeking a technically competent and field-oriented Telecommunications Technical Officer to support installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of telecommunications network systems. This role is operational and implementation-focused, supporting engineering and project teams to ensure compliant and high-quality network delivery outcomes. Key Responsibilities • Install, test, and commission telecommunications equipment including base station components, microwave links, antennas, feeders, and transmission systems. • Assist with integration of Network Elements (NEs) and support system configuration under engineering supervision. • Conduct Drive Testing, RF measurements, signal verification, and performance data collection. • Perform routine troubleshooting of LTE, UMTS, and microwave transmission faults. • Carry out Microwave Line-of-Sight (MW LOS) surveys, site verification, and basic EMF compliance checks. • Support VLAN testing, alarm verification, and basic traffic performance monitoring. • Assist in cable installation, rack mounting, equipment labelling, and shelter integration works. • Prepare site documentation including test reports, commissioning checklists, as-built drawings, and compliance records. • Support BOQ verification and material checks during site rollouts. • Provide first-level technical support to Network Operations Centre (NOC) and escalate complex faults to Network Engineers. • Ensure all works are performed in accordance with telecommunications standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. • Adhere to WHS policies and maintain safe work practices at all times. Qualifications • Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Telecommunications, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent). • Minimum 2–3 years hands-on experience in telecommunications network installation or technical support. Technical Skills & Competencies • Practical knowledge of RF systems, LTE/4G technologies, and microwave transmission networks. • Familiarity with base station equipment and multi-vendor environments (e.g., Ericsson, Huawei or equivalent platforms preferred). • Understanding of cabling standards, site installation procedures, and telecom infrastructure deployment. • Ability to interpret technical drawings, network diagrams, and installation documentation. • Strong troubleshooting capability in resolving hardware faults, signal degradation, and connectivity issues. • Competence in preparing accurate technical documentation and reports. Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to work in field environments.
