About the Role:

With your experience in estimating and proficiency in CABMASTER and PYTHA, youll report directly to the director and help lead a small, experienced group. Youll take ownership of detailed cost planning and competitive tenders for mid-to-large commercial construction projects across Victoria and interstate.

Your Day to Day:

• Review drawings, scope, and specifications to formulate accurate cost estimates

• You will be a highly skilled Estimator/Onsetter with at least two years of experience in kitchen and cabinetry design

• Manage tenders and deliver competitive, well-documented proposals

• Source and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers

• Conduct thorough take-offs and pricing analysis

• Collaborate with Directors and PMs to ensure tender accuracy and buildability

• Contribute to ongoing improvements in estimating processes

• Mentor junior estimators and support a strong team culture

What You Bring:

• Minimum 3 years experience as an Estimator in the Cabinet Making industry

• Strong understanding of cabinet-making materials, construction methods, and industry standards

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements

• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to accurately calculate material quantities and labour costs

• Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

• Solid experience in commercial/industrial construction estimating (ideally up to $2M projects)

• Tertiary qualifications in Cabinet Making, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or Engineering

• Confidence with Cabmaster, Pytha, Bluebeam, Excel, and construction estimating software

• Understanding of Australian construction practices, codes, and supplier networks

• Ability to lead and mentor while working collaboratively

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commercial acumen
