What you will be doing: - Inform, develop and implement portfolio strategies, programs, policies and projects for the effective management of the departments property portfolio that maximises asset useful life, complies with government, departmental and industry policy and norms, and ensures the assets remain fit-for-purpose. - Lead and manage large, complex and diverse programs and projects relating to the departments social housing assets, ensuring the achievement of program/project outcomes on time, within budget and according to specifications. - Provide expert property management analysis, information, reports and advice to inform asset management and broader Housing strategy, policy and practice, and ensure compliance with departmental reporting requirements. - Lead and support partnering and relationship building with a diverse range of internal and external business partners, stakeholders and customers. - Support innovation and continuous improvement in portfolio management strategy, policy and practice. - Communicate and coordinate property management plans and strategies and their link to broader organisational strategy. - Lead a team to optimise its achievement of outcomes through effective people leadership, resource management and capability development for the team and individual staff. Mandatory Requirement - Class C Drivers Licence - It is a requirement for the appointee to travel intrastate occasionally including locally and may include overnight stays in remote communities for up to four nights in a row. Access to some communities will be via small aircraft where minimal personal luggage is a requirement.
