We are currently recruiting a Head of Boutique for our Sydney Fashion Boutique. ABOUT THE ROLE: The Head of Boutique at Chanel plays a pivotal role in directly engaging customers, embodying the vision of the Brand and the boutique mission on a daily basis. They serve as the frontline representative, delivering a unique and luxurious experience to all customers while connecting them to the brand beyond mere product sales. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: As the Head of Boutique, you will be responsible for upholding the image of the brand as a Brand Advocate, portraying professionalism and sophistication in grooming and behavior at all times. You will convey brand messages, values, and culture while maintaining boutique displays and environment to Chanel standards. Additionally, you will inspire and manage the boutique team, building emotional connections with customers by understanding their needs, offering relevant recommendations, and motivating them to discover new styling possibilities. Key responsibilities will include:- Working with the Head of Retail and General Manager - Fashion & WFJ Divisions to define the strategy, vision and mission for the boutique.
- Working with the Head of Retail and People & Organisation to ensure team is equipped to deliver on the vision, covering both capability and capacity and ensuring the conditions to deliver on the Client Relational Promise.
- In collaboration with the Head of Retail, General Manager - Fashion & WFJ Divisions and People & Organisation, participating in the forecasting and deployment of resources, role design and talent acquisition activities including making hiring decisions and proactively sourcing, attracting and retaining talent. Regularly reviewing and adjusting manpower needs.
- Monitoring and forecasting financial targets on a daily / weekly / monthly basis for the team. Analysing measurable statistics and taking appropriate actions and / or informing relevant stakeholders.
- Maximising the effectiveness of the boutique ecosystem by creating a culture of collective performance and collaboration, supporting and engaging cross-métier specialization roles in the boutique (e.g. Visual Merchandising, Retail Learning and Development, Marketing).
- Fostering a positive working environment and creating a culture of feedback, encouraging diversity, mutual respect and teamwork, actively managing performance and addressing underperformance and proactively address and resolve employee relations matter, engaging Head of Retail and ODHR as appropriate.
- Working closely with the Head of Retail and / or Merchandising team to ensure that the boutique is stocked with an appropriate depth and width of merchandise.
- Reducing waste in the boutique, embed Sustainability in all activities and encourage boutique team to drive initiatives and share suggestions to advance the topic.
- Experience in managing a team of no less than 5 members, preferably in the fashion or luxury industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented attitude and a warm, friendly demeanor.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members.
- Proven teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach to achieving shared goals and objectives.
- Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while maintaining professionalism and composure.
- A commitment to continuous learning and development, staying updated on industry trends and product knowledge to enhance the customer experience.
