**Whats the role?**

Sky News Australia is looking to recruit a business producer to work across its business TV programs. The successful applicant will play a key role in a team that sets the news agenda for business and finance each weeknight and on Sunday mornings. We are looking for a journalist with a keen interest in the world of business and how it connects with politics and current affairs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Work closely with an award-winning and experienced Business team, led by editor Ross Greenwood.

+ Help to produce a half-hour weekday and one-hour weekend show.

+ Come up with excellent ideas for fresh contributors on a range of themes.

+ Pitch interesting Business stories to discuss, with supporting elements.

+ Book talent into studios and liaise over what theyll bring to the shows dialogue.

+ Research subjects to ensure debates are on the money and brimming with topicality.

+ Write straps and create graphic elements to energise editorials and add visuals to panel chats.

+ Cut overlay and grabs using our Quantel editing software and input the correct production instructions into the ENPS platform for control room staff.

+ Output shows live from the control room, communicating with pilots, TDs, hosts, reporters and guests.

+ Collaborate with our Digital team to ensure your best content reaches our worldwide audience across all our platforms.

**Who are you?**

+ You have newsroom experience and preferably have worked in TV or radio.

+ You are a news junkie who is totally on top of whats happening in the world of Business and Finance.

+ You have an education that includes economics and know how inflation affects interest rates and how they impact spending, borrowing and housing.

+ You are full of ideas for segments to excite the viewer.

+ You have a handle on social media and can offer clips to enrich our programs.

+ You have great time-management skills and are calm under pressure.

+ You enjoy being part of a friendly and professional team and are looking to develop your production skills.

+ You are keen to stay up to date with television law and ensure the channel upholds broadcasting codes with risk-free programs.
