Description: This role is a mix of local, office and field-based work and involves national travel on a project-to-project basis. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate strong theoretical and practical knowledge. Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Commissioning and testing HV Power Transformers.
• Construction and Assembly of HV Power Transformers.
• Oil filtration, bushing replacement, leak repairs onsite and in workshop environment.
• Assist in preparation of commissioning/testing documentation, test plans and create detailed technical reports on completion of works.
• Carry out JSHAs etc. prior to commencing any new works to identify hazards and implement the necessary controls.
• Primary Testing of HV/LV Transformers (i.e. Tan Delta/Voltage Ratio/Winding Resistance/Dirana/SFRA, Oil Sampling)
• Knowledge of ACB/VCB and Switchboard testing

Skills and Experiences:  Experience, skills and qualifications

• Unrestricted QLD Electrical Fitter and Mechanics License
• Minimum 4 years experience post trade.
• Valid Drivers License.
• HV Switching Ticket preferred.
• Knowledge of appropriate Australian Standards.
• Proven ability meeting project quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
