Employment Type: Temporary Part Time Position Classification: Staff Specialist Hours Per Week: Up to 16 Requisition ID: REQ549956 Applications are via eCredential The Infectious Diseases Department at Sydney Childrens Hospital, Randwick are seeking a temporary Staff Specialist to join their team for 12 months. The FTE available is up to 0.4 FTE (Up to 16 hours per week) with an anticipated commencement date of 31st March 2025. What youll be doing Provision of medical services in paediatric infectious diseases, including immunisation , HIV, antimicrobial stewardship and infection control. Provide excellent clinical services to children and their families as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Participate in review and improvement activities, as well as training and education of staff. As this is a “Category A” position, please refer to the NSW Policy Directive PD2024_015 Occupational Assessment Screening and Vaccination for vaccination requirements.

- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist - Paediatric infectious diseases, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and / or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Staff Specialists (State) Award
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Paediatric infectious diseases at the role delineation of the service
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement
- Commitment to improvements in quality and safety
- Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time
