JOB TITLE Perioperative Clinical Application Specialist DATE 7 April 2025 REPORTS TO Marketing Manager - PMLS position description Position purpose The role is responsible for product training and application support during hospital on-site sessions. It also supports the PMLS team during the early part of the sales cycle and after the sales closing with product demonstrations, installations, and customer follow-up. Main tasks Core objectives include:
  • Product training to customers, staff, and business partners.
  • In collaboration with the account managers, formulate quarterly plans for installations, ongoing customer education, and trial/demo support.
  • Established and managed customer relationships.
  • Supporting educational partnerships with key opinion leaders and training centers.
  • Acquire good product knowledge and stay up to date with developments, predominantly in the Perioperative patient monitoring and life support field.
  • Document post-training reports and provide regular feedback on customer satisfaction and needs.
  • Provide customer feedback to the team.
  • Document all customer contacts, events, competitive intelligence, and activities via Mindrays CRM platform.
  • Provide remote clinical support to solve customer questions.
  • Improve customer satisfaction and socket retention through continuing education.

  • Establish, develop, and maintain clinical relationships with current and new customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organisations products/services.
  • Drive acceptance and usage of the newly launched anaesthetic machines and patient monitors in NSW Health and Private hospitals.
  • Participate in trade shows and conventions.
  • Undertake product training and professional development as required.
  • Take an active role in supporting marketing with clinical aspects of the PMLS portfolio.
  • Conduct all activities per the IMS System.
  • Other duties and responsibilities are as required by market, legislative, or Mindray Australia changes.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Anaesthesia, Perioperative or Intensive Care.
  • Minimum of Cert IV training and assessment qualifications
Experience
  • At least 5 years experience working in a clinical setting in Perioperative or Intensive Care as a registered nurse, Anaesthesia Technologist, Operating Department Assistant, Clinical Nurse educator, senior Anaesthesia Technician educator, or equivalent.
  • Strong technical skills and experience working with high-end ventilation in Anaesthesia or Intensive care.
  • Previous competitive company experience in the Clinical Applications will be viewed favourably.
