About this role

Our busy clinic in Armidale is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team. We are happy to accommodate a start date best suited to the successful candidate.

The role is a full time position working Monday to Friday, with shifts between 7:30am-6pm and optional overtime weekend work.

Role Overview:

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Greeting patients warmly and assisting with check-in procedures.
• Answering emails and phone calls promptly and handling inquiries professionally.
• Advising patients of preparation prior to relevant scans.
• Billing procedures - private, Medicare, workers compensation, and DVA.
• Collaborating with clerical and technical staff, radiologists, and referrers.

✅ Previous medical reception experience is desirable but not essential

✅ Ability to multitask across several computer systems

✅ Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn

✅ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

✅ Ability to work autonomously and in a team in a fast-paced environment
