About the Role Join Swinburne University as a Regulatory & Integrity Officer and play a crucial role in administering key regulatory and integrity frameworks. You will play an important role in the Legal, Risk and Compliance team, supporting the Universitys legal and regulatory services, with a focus on managing complaints, reviews, appeals, and misconduct processes. With the support of the Legal, Risk and Compliance team, your responsibilities will include handling matters related to Freedom of Information, Privacy, National Security, and disputes management. Working within a team, you will triage cases, implement processes, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders as needed. Additionally, you will provide support and information to staff, contribute to enhancing the Universitys frameworks, and assist in training and resource development. If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about upholding regulatory standards, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and student-focused environment.
About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated ability to administer processes and systems.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret procedures and work instructions and relate them to the relevant tasks.
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills including the ability to plan, ability to work under pressure, prioritise multiple tasks and display thoroughness, sound judgment and attention to detail, with the ability to follow tasks through to completion.
- Proven ability to consult and liaise with internal and external stakeholders and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
- Previous experience in relation to the compliance and regulatory fields relevant to the role (preferred).
Qualifications Degree qualifications in relevant field and relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training (such as law - including paralegal, business administration, or policy and compliance).
