The Lead - Business Engagement will oversee a dynamic team of Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) and Business Engagement Leads (BELs) responsible for fostering strong relationships between the business and various stakeholders. This role requires a strategic leader who can align business objectives with customer needs, drive collaboration across teams, and deliver innovative solutions that create long-term value. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in managing cross-functional teams to meet Bureau & DDG goals. Broadly this role has the following remit:

• Leading Business Engagement & Demand management practice: manage a team of highly skilled Business Relationship Managers (BRMs/Business Engagement Leads).
• Business segment engagement: Identifying business value when developing ideas with a focus on risk assessment, business continuity, business capability requirements and alignment with established roadmaps and business priorities.
• Collaboration: Translate ideas and visions into tangible deliverables and cost estimates with a commercial mindset. Bridging the gap between technology solutions and business needs ensuring the integration of business needs into IT strategy, organisational goals and plans. Facilitating successful project initiation and handover to delivery.
• Planning: Contributing to long-term technology planning to align IT initiatives with overall business goals. Ensuring engagement with domain architects in Planning and Architecture and SMEs in other DDG programs as required. Management of Planning & Architecture program activities, planning and point of contact to the CITO office.
