Join Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Australias leading independent law firm.

We are looking for an experienced credit or collection professional, with drive, motivation and strong customer service skills to join our Finance Operations team. This role has flexibility to be based from either our Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne offices.

Working closely with the Team Leader, the Credit Offer is responsible for improving collection results, maximising cash flow and reducing debtor balances and debtors days to an acceptable level.

Key responsibilities

  • Undertake appropriate collection activity direct with clients nationally and internationally in accordance with the firms policy
  • Reduce and maintain debtor days and balances
  • Provide efficient and timely service and support to internal and external clients, including in the management of dispute resolution
  • Reconciliation of client accounts
  • Assisting internal clients to enhance the timely collection of debt
  • Assessment of clients credit risk when reviewing new and existing clients
  • Ensure compliance and enforcement of firms Credit Procedures
  • Assist National Finance Operations Manager with on-going revision of credit policy, practice and procedures to meet changing business needs

Required qualifications and preferred experience

  • Minimum of three years credit/collection experience gained within a professional services environment
  • Highly competent with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
  • Experience with CMS or similar Finance software

  • Positive and proactive approach to customer and client service
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise competing tasks
