Job Description

Were looking for an experienced Lead Account Manager to take care of existing Freshworks customers, ensuring they get the most out of our platform while identifying new opportunities for growth. If you enjoy building strong relationships, understanding customer needs, and finding ways to help them succeed, this role is for you.

This is not just about maintaining accounts—its about growing them. This role sits in our Expansion Team so youll have two roles : helping customers expand their use of the Freshworks software they have already purchased and uncovering opportunities in other parts of their business for other Freshworks solutions. This role requires someone who can balance nurturing relationships, alongside local Customer Success Managers, and independently sell within existing accounts.

What Youll Do:

  • Build strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring they see value in our solutions and continue to grow with us.
  • Identify opportunities to expand usage within current teams and sell into new business units.
  • Have meaningful conversations with decision-makers at all levels, from frontline users to senior executives.
  • Work closely with internal teams—customer success, implementation, billing, and support—to give customers a great experience.
  • Own your sales pipeline and meet (or beat!) your targets.
  • Use data and insights to understand customer needs and tailor your approach.
Qualifications

What Were Looking For:

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in IT account management and sales, ideally in SaaS.
  • A track record of growing existing customer accounts through both relationship management and proactive selling.
  • Comfortable getting to and engaging with senior executives and decision-makers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think commercially about how customers can benefit from expanding their use of our platform.
  • A team player who works well with internal teams to drive customer success.
  • Great communication and presentation skills.
  • Minimal travel is required for this role but a willingness to travel when required is needed.
