Main Tasks: Candidates will be required to review plans, measure and mark surfaces for tile installation. Candidates will be required to prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, and adhesive as well as filling holes and cracks and ensuring surfaces are clean. Candidates must be able to apply adhesive to prepare surfaces and tiles as well as setting tiles in their designated positions. Candidates will be required to utilise tile-cutting tools to shapes tiles for edges, corners and around objects such as fittings and pipes while ensuring proper alignment and spacing of tiles. Candidates must be able to grout tiles and meticulously clean off excess grout as well as apply waterproofing systems to enhance durability. Candidates should be able to lay floors made of granolithic, terrazzo, cement or similar materials and create colourful mosaic patters using coloured tiles. Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation. Qualification: Certificate in Wall and Floor Tiling. Experience: A Candidate is required to have at least three (3) years of working experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler. Successful candidates will have the following skills: 1. Creativity and broader thinking; 2. The ability to plan whilst performing duties; 3. Good Building skills; 4. High Physical Stamina; 5. Strong math skills; 6. Good Organisation and Time Management; 7. Substantial Technical skills; 8. Prevision, accuracy and attention to detail; 9. The ability to work in a team; and 10. Strong communication skills.
