We’re looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Lead to drive innovative recruitment strategies, attract exceptional talent, and help build the workforce that supports our growth and community impact.
About the Role\n
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you’ll lead both the strategic and operational delivery of talent acquisition across a diverse and geographically dispersed organisation. You’ll partner closely with leaders to identify workforce needs, develop attraction strategies, strengthen recruitment capability, and ensure an outstanding candidate experience from first interaction through to onboarding.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced recruiter who enjoys balancing workforce planning and strategic thinking with hands‑on recruitment delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing\n
\n - Developing and implementing contemporary talent acquisition and workforce attraction strategies.
\n - Leading end‑to‑end recruitment across multiple business areas and locations.
\n - Building talent pipelines for critical and hard‑to‑fill roles.
\n - Partnering with operational leaders to forecast workforce needs and address recruitment challenges.
\n - Coaching hiring managers on best‑practice recruitment and selection processes.
\n - Enhancing the candidate experience and strengthening Y Ballarat's employer brand.
\n - Monitoring labour market trends and identifying innovative attraction initiatives.
\n - Ensuring recruitment practices remain compliant, equitable and aligned with child safety requirements.
\n - Driving continuous improvement across recruitment systems, processes and reporting.

About You\n
You are a relationship‑focused recruitment professional who can influence stakeholders, think strategically and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
\n
You'll bring:
\n
\n - Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
\n - Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, recruitment or workforce management within a multi‑site or complex organisation.
\n - Strong experience managing high‑volume recruitment.
\n - Expertise in workforce attraction strategies and talent pipeline development.
\n - Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
\n - Sound knowledge of employment legislation, recruitment compliance and governance.
\n - Experience using recruitment, onboarding and HR systems.
\n - Exceptional communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills.
\n
Highly Regarded\n
\n - Experience within early childhood education, education, community services, health or not‑for‑profit sectors.
\n - Experience leading recruitment projects, campaigns or workforce initiatives.
\n - Experience working with HRIS, recruitment and onboarding platforms.
\n
