Senior Project Manager - Data Centre Construction

OverviewMission Critical Recruitment are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery of a new hyperscale (few hundred MW) data centre in Melbourne.

As a Senior Project Manager, supported by the Project Director, you will manage a billion dollar + technical construction project from pre-construction to delivery, overseeing the project scope, project quality, timeframes and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Managing, and working closely with, external project management consultants
• Project control, cost and contract management.
• Day to day project reporting 
• Interface and manage communications with internal and external teams
• Develop and execute project management plans
• Concurrently manage multiple projects
• Project reviews and audits, construct-ability reviews, commissioning and project close out

• 8 years plus experience in project/construction management experience in highly technical, construction projects - experienced in controlling major scale projects of 200m upwards value
• Strong experience in project control, governance and delivery frameworks
• Project management qualification highly desirable
• Mission critical or data centre construction exposure
• High level communication skill with ability to manage multiple stakeholders and influence at all levels

• Newly created role as part of team build
• Major scale project in excess of 1bn value
• Work directly for the owner
