Your Role at Advantage Therapy:

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will have a dual role of providing clinic-based and mobile services to a reduced, sustainable caseload of clients (predominantly children and adolescence with disability/developmental delay), and providing mentorship and support to our growing OT team. You will make an impact by leading junior clinicians to success and supporting your clients to achieve maximum outcome.

What We are Looking For:

  • An experienced paediatric OT with minimum 4 years of experience of working with children with a disability, behaviours of concern, and/or complex needs

  • Solid knowledge on NDIS, previous experience on FCAs and AT assessments highly preferred

  • Strong alignment to positive, collaborative, outcome-oriented team culture, with the ability to facilitate changes and tailor coaching/feedback style according to individual needs

  • Supports family-centred, evidence-based practice, and the value of multi-/trans-disciplinary approach and functional goal setting

  • Effective communication and negotiation skills, including ability to navigate difficult conversations

  • Interested in progression pathways and investing in the team long term

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Qualification in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

  • APHRA Registration

  • Working with Children Check

  • The right to work in Australia

Physical Demands:

The role may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, bend, reach, and lift up to 15 KG.
