About Our Client

Based within the Bowen Basin and operating since 1983, our client is a leading global provider of high quality metallurgical coal and thermal coal products to a global and local market. What You Will Be Doing

This role leads a category portfolio to ensure successful delivery and management of contract lifecycle strategies. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading strategic sourcing and contract lifecycle activities
• Managing vendor performance and commercial relationships
• Developing cost reduction and value creation strategies
• Reviewing procurement frameworks and recommending improvements
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver high-performance outcomes
• Supporting contract phases from sourcing to phase-out
• Participating in audits, meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives

What You Will Need

• Undergraduate degree (CIPSA qualification desirable)
• Minimum 8 years experience in procurement and category management
• Experience in mining or resources sector (open-cut preferred)
• Strong financial, negotiation, and project management skills
• Advanced written and verbal communication
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle or SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Current Queensland Drivers Licence
