Key Responsibilities: • Analyzing sales data to forecast future demand and ensure purchasing decisions support the company's budget requirements and strategic objectives. • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers to source diverse product ranges and establish collaborative partnerships. • Developing and implementing targeted sales and marketing strategies in collaboration with merchandising and sales teams. • Conducting thorough quality inspections of incoming merchandise, including verification of packaging integrity and expiration dates, to ensure compliance with company quality standards. • Maintaining comprehensive records of all purchasing activities, supplier agreements, and vendor relationships. • Monitoring market trends and consumer purchasing behavior to identify opportunities for new product introductions and category expansion. • Generating purchase orders, selecting reliable vendors, and managing the complete procurement cycle from order placement through to delivery. • Evaluating vendor performance and negotiating supply agreements to achieve optimal pricing and quality outcomes. • Implementing stock management strategies to maintain appropriate inventory levels and fulfill customer demand. • Utilizing sales performance data to optimize product promotions and pricing strategies, enhancing profit margins. • Providing regular reports to management on sales trends and stock levels, identifying challenges and recommending strategic actions. • Ensuring all buying and merchandising strategies align with the company's overall business objectives and commercial plans.
