Full-time Clinical Quality Role | Mobile across Western
Lead quality improvement and make a meaningful difference in aged care
At Uniting, we’re driven by our values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative and bold. We’re currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Residential Aged Care team as a Quality Improvement Specialist, supporting services across the Western Sydney region from Springwood through to Ermington.
This full-time mobile role partners with facilities to strengthen quality, safety and compliance outcomes. You’ll work closely with Service Managers and local teams to maintain service quality assurance frameworks, support audits, complaint and incident management, and help services embed sustainable improvement practices.
You’ll be based across our services in the Western Sydney region, with travel required using your own vehicle, and work from our Parramatta office one day per week.
About the role
As a Quality Improvement Specialist, you’ll provide specialist clinical quality advice, coaching and support to operational teams, helping each service meet regulatory requirements and deliver safe, person-centred care. This is a hands-on role for an RN who enjoys building capability, working collaboratively and turning quality data, audits and feedback into practical improvement actions.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll play a key role in supporting quality and compliance across our Residential Aged Care services by:
Providing clinical quality improvement advice and coaching to Service Managers and local facility teams.
Maintaining and supporting service quality assurance frameworks, systems and processes.
Coordinating and supporting audits, quality reviews and continuous improvement activities.
Reviewing hazards, incidents, complaints and clinical risks to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Partnering with facilities to prepare for and respond to compliance requirements, including PSATs and accreditation-related activities.
Supporting the development of clear, timely and person-centred complaint responses.
Using clinical and operational data to guide practical improvement plans and monitor progress.
Building team capability through education, mentoring and reflective practice.
About you
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Experience in clinical governance, quality improvement, compliance or audit within aged care, health or a related setting.
Strong understanding of aged care quality standards, risk, incident and complaints management.
Confidence partnering with service leaders and influencing change through coaching, collaboration and practical guidance.
Strong written communication skills, including the ability to support clear complaint responses and quality documentation.
Ability to analyse data, identify themes and support evidence-based improvement actions.
Current driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle for travel across the Western Sydney region.
