About Eldercare

Our beautiful Adelaide Hills site, Eldercare Sash Ferguson at Mt Barker has permanent part time and casual opportunities available.

We are looking for compassionate Personal Care Assistants to join the team and utilise their experience and empathetic nature to support our residents, ensuring they receive the highest quality of comfort & care.

The permanent part time opportunity consists of the following night shift pattern;

Week 1

Thursday 23:00 - 07:00

Week 2

Thursday 23:00 - 07:00

Friday 23:00 - 07:00

Tuesday 23:00 - 07:00

About the opportunity

  • Located at our Mount Barker site in the Adelaide Hills
  • Successful applicants for the casual role must be willing to work up to 6 shifts per fortnight
  • If casual, must be willing to work morning, afternoon & night shifts
  • If casual, must be willing to be contactable to fill shifts at short notice
  • Provide genuine person-centred care and contribute to the quality of life of our residents

As a Care Assistant, you will be providing direct care in a dignified and respectful manner that delivers excellence in customer service to our residents. Following care plans you will assist with personal care, daily living tasks and general mobility. With a person-centred mindset you will create a warm and welcoming care environment that aims to maximise quality of life.

To be successful you will have:

  • Minimum 6 months experience after receipt of qualification
  • Existing working rights in Australia
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or Aged Care – or equivalent
  • A genuine passion to provide care that is person-centred
  • The ability to work individually and in a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

To work for Eldercare, you are required to have a police clearance valid for working in aged care (unsupervised contact with vulnerable people) and the clearance needs to be less than 12 months since date of issue.

  • Be vaccinated against COVID-19 as per current ATAGI guidelines
