About the opportunity:
At Uniting, we know that families experiencing adversity often need more than practical support—they need someone who believes in their capacity for change. Through the Newpin (New Parent and Infant Network) program, we work intensively alongside parents to strengthen relationships, build confidence and support children to remain safely with their families or return home from out-of-home care.
We're looking for an experienced and compassionate Newpin Family Worker to join our dedicated team. This is a unique and highly rewarding role for someone passionate about therapeutic family work, attachment-based practice and helping families create lasting change.
As a Newpin Family Worker, you will walk alongside parents during some of the most challenging times in their lives. Using a trauma-informed and relationship-based approach, you'll support families to develop safer, stronger and more nurturing connections with their children.
This isn't traditional case management.
You'll provide intensive therapeutic support, facilitate group programs, support family visits, and work collaboratively with parents to build skills, confidence and hope. Every day brings opportunities to witness resilience, celebrate progress and make a genuine difference in the lives of children and families.
