Overview

As our Medical Secretary for the consulting suites, you are responsible for providing administrative support and assistance to patients and their families upon their arrival to the clinic.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to patients and families on arrival.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, psychologists, administrators, and staff.
• Data entry, billing, banking, stationery orders, and other clerical tasks.
• Manage multi-source communications (phone, email, etc.) and maintain a busy flow of appointments.

Your Skills And Experience

• Enthusiastic with a passion for customer service in a busy environment.
• Ability to converse empathetically while managing a busy diary of doctor’s appointments, phone calls, and emails.
• Strong communication, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills; comfortable working in a team of clinicians and staff.
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office.
• Attention to detail; understanding of a specialist practice setting; medical terminology desirable but not essential.
• Coordinate with staff from other departments.
• Desirable: minimum 1 year in hospital/medical administrative position; knowledge of medical terminology; experience with Zedmed is highly desired but not essential.

Remuneration

Base hourly rate ranging from $32.29 + superannuation + levels of experience and qualifications.

Requirements
