Role: Mechanical Engineer Full Time Location: Brisbane HQ The Mechanical Engineer will be reporting to the Engineering Manager. l . Develop Accurate 3D Models, experience with Autodesk Inventor and other Autodesk Products is an advantage Create detailed, spec-driven models of piping systems and structural steelwork. Ensure alignment with project requirements, fabrication constraints, and site conditions. 2. Produce Fabrication-Ready Drawings Generate orthographic and isometric drawings with clear dimensions, annotations, and welding symbols. Ensure drawings are suitable for workshop fabrication and site installation. 3. Maintain Metadata and BOM Integrity Capture and manage part metadata for traceability, procurement, and ERP integration. Automate and validate Bill of Materials (BOMs) for accuracy and completeness. 4. Integrate with Brownfield Environments Use point cloud data to design around existing structures and avoid clashes. Ensure new designs fit within spatial and operational constraints of existing facilities. 5. Apply Industry Standards and Best Practices Adhere to relevant piping and steelwork codes (e.g., ASME, ISO, DIN). Incorporate fabrication tolerances, material specifications, and welding requirements. 6. Collaborate Across Disciplines Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and project managers to interpret design intent. Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve constructability. 7. Support Project and Production Workflows Align models and drawings with project stages, work packs, and routing logic. Facilitate downstream processes such as procurement, welding, testing, and coating. 8. Planning and scheduling of tasks and resources to meet project requirements and objectives. Liaise with onsite Client Representatives Manage and coordinate subcontractors • Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical qualification • Eligible for membership to Engineers Australia • Familiar with relevant Australian Standards (AS3990, AS4100, AS1554) • Familiar with ISO 9001 QA processes and systems • Familiar with HSE legislation and obligations • At least 5 years relevant experience. • Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications • Strong computer skills using CAD, MS Project and MS Office applications • Mechanical design and drafting skills are desirable • Providing leadership, communication and project management skills • Job cost performance • Job schedule performance • Job Safety performance
