Overview

We’re looking for a Robotics Software Engineer to guide a small but sharp team building reliable, real-world systems. You’ll be the one setting the technical direction, keeping things stable under pressure, and making sure what’s built today still works tomorrow.

In a nutshell, you’ll:

• Lead a team that builds and ships production-ready software.
• Keep everything running smoothly through smart version control and clean releases.
• Work closely with hardware engineers to make software and hardware feel like one system.
• Set standards for code quality, testing, and reliability.
• Build a culture of continuous improvement and continuous delivery.
• Mentor engineers and help them level up.
• Document the important stuff clearly.

Base pay range

A$135,000.00/yr - A$140,000.00/yr

You’ll need

• Strong skills in C/C++, Python, and ROS.
• A solid grasp of version control, CI/CD, and modern development practices.
• A knack for collaboration and getting people working toward the same goal.
• Eligibility for Baseline security clearance.

It’s a bonus if you’ve

• Worked on robotics or other complex systems where safety and reliability matter.
• Had experience in startups or fast-moving environments.
• Built software that’s had to perform in tough, real-world conditions.
