About the opportunityThe Chemical Pathology Department at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital is seeking a collaborative, strategic thinker with leadership qualities and experience and a strong passion for Chemical Pathology to join our team as a Laboratory Manager. You will join a large, diverse team of scientific and technical staff, alongside a dedicated group of pathologists and staff specialist on a permanent full-time basis, working Monday to Friday with a requirement to provide on-call support as required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the laboratory, attend meetings with key stakeholders within RPA Hospital and NSW Pathology network, report on risks to service and escalate accordingly, ensuring the laboratory is running and performing within required Pathology standards and professional accreditation requirements.
The position also requires management of operational budgets, human resource management, monitoring department performance KPI's and decision making around service requirements, improvements and strategic planning.
The successful candidate will be eligible to one allocated day off each month, in additional to an array of other NSWHP benefits.
