Industrial Painter / Blaster
We are looking for experienced industrial painters and blasters to work on high‑spec defence projects in Henderson. The role involves preparing surfaces, abrasive blasting, protective coating application, and ensuring all safety and quality standards are met. Candidates should have experience in spray painting (airless and traditional), brush and roller techniques, and surface preparation.
Responsibilities
Prep surfaces by abrasive blasting and cleaning to achieve the required surface profile.
Prepare and apply protective coatings using airless, spray or brush methods.
Inspect finished work to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
Maintain tools and equipment, following safety and WHS procedures.
Support the team in meeting project deadlines and safety requirements.
Qualifications
Australian citizen or permanent resident.
ITAR‑compliant – not born in an ITAR‑listed country.
Current police check (less than three months old) or the ability to obtain one.
Medical fit, including drug and alcohol screening.
Clean‑shaven for site requirements.
Experience in abrasive blasting and various painting methods (brush, roller, spray).
Comfortable using industrial painting and blasting equipment.
Relevant safety qualifications: White Card, Confined Space entry, Working at Heights, EWP, High Risk Work Licence.
Benefits & Working Arrangements
Hourly rate $42.52 – $48.50+ (depending on experience).
38‑hour work week, Monday to Friday, 6:30 am – 4:30 pm.
Optional paid overtime on weekends.
