Overview

Raytheon Australia is a trusted capability partner delivering complex engineering projects for the Australian Defence Force. This role is for a Senior Technician who will build cables and perform electronic and mechanical assembly as part of the SRGBAD project, focusing on safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct cable, electronic and mechanical assembly and test on equipment as authorised.
• Support the production, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of communication and control systems, launchers, electro‑optical systems, laser systems, generators and support equipment.
• Provide technical support in production and test services and activities.
• Record work tasks in the asset management system and ensure accuracy of records and reporting to meet technical, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety while meeting production requirements.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Certificate III, IV or Diploma in mechanical, electrical, electronic or related technical disciplines.
• Ability to work within a team environment and meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to interpret technical data and maintenance manuals.
• Proven supervisory and mentorship experience for technicians.
• Passion for quality workmanship.
• Endorsements such as IPC610/620 certification, crane/rigger/dogger, work‑at‑height, forklift, MR/HR will be highly regarded.
• Eligibility for Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance.
