We're looking for a skilled Tyre Fitter to join our team to help maintain our fleet and ensure the safety of our drivers and cargo. Your role will be vital in keeping our transport vehicles in optimal condition.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
Mounting and dismounting tyres on a variety of vehicles, forklift tyres including Heavy Vehicles.
Ensuring proper tyre balance to prevent vibrations and extend tyre life.
Identifying and fixing tyre damage, such as punctures and cuts.
Keeping tyre fitting equipment and tools in good working condition.
Interacting with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing related concerns and needs.
Ensuring that all tyre-related activities meet safety and compliance standards.
Assisting with on the road tyre repairs and replacements when necessary.
Maintaining accurate records of tyre maintenance and replacements.
Identifying and replacing worn or damaged tyres to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
Daily inspections of the fleet to ensure proper tyre tread depth and tyre condition.
General maintenance and yard work as directed by manager.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Must have a valid drivers licence.
Previous experience in tyre fitting operations ideally with a AUR20920 Cert II Automotive Tyre Servicing (or be willing to undertake).
Knowledge of tyre maintenance, including mounting, dismounting, balancing, and alignment.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality work.
Knowledge of tyre installation and commitment to quality work.
Ability to work well in a team and in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience as a Tyre Fitter in a transport or logistics company is preferred.
Availability to work from Mon - Fri with flexibility to accommodate weekend shifts when necessary (due to call-outs).
