The General Manager, Transformation leads the Transformation Division at AUSTRAC, overseeing the Digital Transformation, Program & Capability, and Reform Program branches. This senior executive role plays a pivotal part in shaping AUSTRAC's future direction by driving enterprise-wide change, strengthening digital capability, embedding program management excellence, and overseeing the implementation of major AML/CTF reforms.

As a member of AUSTRAC's Executive Leadership Group, the General Manager provides authoritative advice to the CEO and Executive, ensuring AUSTRAC remains agile, innovative, and prepared to respond to emerging challenges. The role also represents AUSTRAC at senior government, industry and international forums, strengthening relationships and advancing AUSTRAC's influence in protecting Australia's financial system.

• Professional Experience - Proven track record in delivering complex, innovative transformation programs at scale, with strong experience in digital capability, reform, and program management.
• Strategic Leadership - Demonstrated ability to lead a large, multi-disciplinary division and provide high-level advice to executives, boards and government.
• Stakeholder Engagement - Strong ability to influence and build trusted relationships across government, industry and international partners to achieve strategic outcomes.
• Financial and Resource Management - Knowledge and experience in managing people, programs and budgets in a financially constrained environment, with a focus on accountability and results.
• Qualifications - Relevant qualifications in management, digital transformation, law, policy, or related disciplines, and/or demonstrated equivalent experience are desirable.

The General Manager, Transformation, under the broad direction of the Deputy CEO, is responsible for the following:

• Leading the Transformation Division, driving enterprise-wide change to strengthen AUSTRAC's digital capability and reform outcomes.
• Overseeing the coordination and delivery of AML/CTF reform priorities, providing expert advice on risks and impacts.
• Chairing and contributing to governance boards and committees, ensuring effective oversight of transformation and reform initiatives.
• Representing AUSTRAC across government, industry and international forums to enhance collaboration, anticipate emerging issues and strengthen AUSTRAC's reputation.
• Providing strategic direction and oversight of the Division's people, financial and program resources, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and inclusion.
• Championing sustainable operating models, program management excellence, and digital innovation to position AUSTRAC for long-term success.

To be eligible for this role you:

• Will need to obtain and maintain an ongoing Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
