We are seeking a skilled Forestry Operator (internal title: Roading Operator) to join our Sealed Roads team in Eden. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Undertake sealed road maintenance and construction works on Imlay & Edrom roads to required environmental and operational standards.
• Participate in other forest roading tasks, ecology surveys, hazard reduction burning, and firefighting.
• Operate plant and equipment safely (MR and/or HR truck, backhoe, skid steer, CAT 1 fire tanker) and perform related duties.
• Plan and prioritise work to meet standards and deadlines; work effectively as part of a team and also with independence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience working safely in high-risk environments, particularly on sealed roads.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience.
• Qualified and skilled in the safe and efficient operation of relevant plant and equipment; basic computer/tablet skills and ability to adapt to new technologies.
• Strong organisational skills to plan and prioritise work; ability to meet standards and deadlines.

Eligibility and Assessments

Depending on the role, the preferred candidate may be required to satisfactorily complete a Drug and Alcohol screening, Medical Assessment, and/or Fire Task Based Assessment.
