Fleet Controller                 

Josies Transport Group is a privately-owned Transport business with head office based in Lara (Geelong). 

Due to significant growth of the business and ongoing expansion plans, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Operations Professional to join our team. Based in Lara and Reporting to the Transport Manager the Fleet Controller will play a key role in continuing to deliver outstanding service to Josies valued customer base. The Fleet Controller will oversee the allocation of pickups of work to drivers while planning for delivery requirements in both the Metropolitan and regional space. The successful applicant will also build key customer and internal team relationships and have a passion for delivering industry leading service to Josies customer base.

Key elements of the role:

• Be a safety leader and always demonstrate positive safety behaviours.
• Allocate jobs to drivers based on service and vehicle specifications.
• Present bookings to drivers via a TMS system while working with customers to ensure success for specific service paid requirements. 
• Mange and monitor drivers during their day-to-day duties while ensuring drivers return to full work responsibilities in a timely manner after absenteeism.
• Use knowledge of the industry and market conditions for continuous improvement suggestions and ideas.
• Stay up to date with industry requirements in accordance with national road standards and laws. 
• Be responsible for the commercial outcomes for owner operators as well as company owned assets.
• Build relationships with new and existing customers.
• Be able to problem solve while working in a high intensity environment in conjunction with other Fleet Controllers.
