We're seeking a skilled Feature Test Engineer to join a global automotive product development team and take a lead role in design verification (DV) and feature testing for a 12 months contract. The role is hands-on, combining vehicle and breadboard testing, regression validation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure systems meet performance, compliance, and customer expectations.

• Plan, coordinate, and optimise DV test requests, consolidating into detailed test plans aligned with program timing.
• Lead a subset of vehicle feature testing to support feature sign-off.
• Conduct regression testing for running changes and OTA updates.
• Support engineering activities: instrumentation set-up, vehicle drives, and execution of corporate test procedures.
• Acquire and validate data to support resolution of current production issues.
• Deliver comprehensive test reports and provide clear pass/fail feedback to engineering leads.
• Raise and track issues (JIRAs) with supporting data until closure.
• Represent the feature team in forums and provide program status updates.
• Organise test facilities and recommend validation methods.
• Follow all OH&S and High Voltage safety practices.

• Engineering experience in feature validation or test roles.
• Driver Certification up to Tier 2 (or equivalent) [Essential].
• Strong diagnostics and CAN-based knowledge [Essential].
• Proficiency with Vector CANoe & CANape.
• Experience with Diagnostic Engineering Tool (DET).
• Understanding of DTCs & DID configuration.
• Skilled with electrical measurement tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.).
• Minimum High Voltage certification Level 1b (Level 2 preferred).
• Broad understanding of vehicle electrical features/functions and validation methods.
• Strong grasp of fault management, load forecasting, and verification techniques.
• Independent self-starter with excellent communication skills (local and international).
