Your new role

An opportunity is available for an experienced Finance Officer to join a prominent not-for-profit in Townsville. This role plays a key part in supporting Finance Accountants by delivering accurate, timely, and efficient financial and administrative services across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and processing quotes and invoices in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Managing invoicing queries and resolving them promptly.
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to support the smooth delivery of quality services.

What youll need to succeed

To be successful in the role, you will need to possess the following:

  • Prior experience in finance or a related role, with a strong foundation in financial operations and reporting.
  • High-level competency in MYOB, Acumatica, and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use these platforms effectively for complex financial tasks.
  • Thorough knowledge of job costing procedures, ensuring accurate tracking and allocation of project-related expenses.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities, with a proven capacity to collaborate with staff across all levels and contribute positively to team environments.
  • Advanced organisational, administrative, and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining high standards of accuracy and accountability.
  • A Working with Childrens (Blue Card).
  • Eligibility to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module: "Quality, Safety & You", or willingness to complete it.
