About The Role

We’re looking for a Finance Data Analyst to join our Payroll team, responsible for delivering high‑quality reporting, insights, and data governance across payroll and time & attendance systems.

In this role, you’ll design and maintain reporting solutions, minimise manual processes, and ensure payroll data integrity through robust testing and anomaly detection. You’ll play a key role in identifying trends, investigating discrepancies, and documenting root causes to support payroll accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.

You’ll work with data from multiple platforms including payroll systems, data warehouses, EDP, Excel, and other source files. Collaboration is central to this role — you’ll partner closely with Payroll Compliance, Payroll Processing, Finance, and HR Insights teams to deliver trusted insights and actionable reporting.

Automation, data quality, and stakeholder impact are at the heart of everything you do.

What's Involved

  • Design, develop, and maintain repeatable payroll and time & attendance reporting solutions
  • Build and implement data validation and testing frameworks to identify anomalies, errors, and data quality issues
  • Investigate discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and document findings and remediation actions
  • Gather, clean, and analyse large structured datasets from multiple sources (e.g. payroll, time & attendance)
  • Perform statistical analysis to assess data integrity, trends, and performance indicators
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to support an automated reporting environment
  • Produce clear, meaningful reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Translate complex data insights into practical recommendations for business and external stakeholders
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, clarify insights, and support ongoing performance discussions

Who We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate will an analytical problem‑solver with strong data foundation and an interest in payroll, finance, and workforce data. You’re comfortable working across multiple systems, enjoy improving processes, and take pride in producing accurate, trusted insights.

You can work independently, but you thrive in cross‑functional environments and communicate confidently with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

You’ll Need

  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven experience in a Data Analyst or Data Quality / QA‑focused role
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, statistical methods, and data quality principles
  • Advanced skills in SQL, Excel, Power Query, and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience using Python for data analysis and automation
  • Experience working with relational databases and large, complex datasets
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to perform detailed root cause analysis

You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.
