Our client, Sohi Produce is a farm in regional NSW that grows blueberries and blackberries of different varieties and aims to provide our customers with fresh and quality produce. Tasks: • Oversee day to day operations of agricultural facilities, including sheds, packing areas, cold rooms, and storage areas. • Supervise harvesting support, sorting, grading, and packing activities to ensure produce meets required quality standards. • Monitor post-harvest handling processes, including cooling, storage conditions, and shelf-life management. • Coordinate and supervise farm workers, seasonal staff, and contractors across facility-based operations. • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality assurance standards, including relevant agricultural and biosecurity requirements. • Inspect facilities, equipment, and machinery regularly to ensure safe operation and arrange maintenance or repairs when required. • Manage inventory of packaging materials, chemicals, tools, and consumables used in farm operations. • Maintain accurate operational records, including production volumes, wastage, quality issues, and staff rosters. • Implement and monitor workplace health and safety procedures across all facilities. • Liaise with farm management regarding operational planning, labour requirements, and workflow coordination. • Oversee cleaning, sanitation, and hygiene schedules for packing sheds, equipment, and storage areas. • Ensure correct handling and segregation of produce to prevent contamination and quality deterioration. • Support audits, inspections, and customer requirements by preparing documentation and ensuring facility readiness. • Identify operational inefficiencies within facilities and implement improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and compliance. Eligibility: • Have at least relevant AQF Cert III or Cert IV qualifications and Have 2 Years of working experience in a similar role in a farm setting. or equivalent or 3 years of employment experience with formal training OR 5 years of experience without formal training. • Strong understanding of agricultural production processes. • Attention to detail and quick decision-making to address quality issues, equipment failures, and operational challenges. • Proficiency in quality control and adherence to standards. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to coordinate with various departments and ensure compliance with regulations. • Possess a keen eye for detail to oversee product quality. • Strong organizational skills are also essential for managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Salary : $70,000-$80,000
