Development Manager (Subdivision)

Our Client is an iconic residential property Developer and Builder, operating across the eastern seaboard of Australia.

Their projects include Housing Communities, Apartments complexes, Housing subdivisions, Townhouse subdivisions and Land subdivisions.

They are looking for a Development Manager who specialises in subdivisions.

Explore the Opportunity:

• Obtain SWC approvals and various ancillary works associated with subdivision
• Obtain approvals from Council and private certifiers  
• Manage the whole process from subdivision works, certificate to subdivision certificate and registration of the development
• Managing many aspects of the development lifecycle, from feasibility studies, development applications, construction and occupation
• Research and analyse development issues, planning controls and propose suitable solutions
• Appointing and effectively managing external consultants
• Ensure concept design/masterplan is developed as per directors brief and organise to book pre-DA with council
• Consulting with authorities and stakeholders to ensure projects are developed in a timely manner that is consistent with feasibility
• Preparation of subdivision works certificate applications & subdivision construction certificate applications, ensuring all reports are checked
• Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Develop, maintain and reporting on status of development applications to Directors

What makes you ideal for the role?

• DA and Subdivision experience
• Formal Civil Engineering or Property Development qualifications
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Development Manager
• Ideally you will have worked for a residential developer/builder
• Experience in all facets of land development from design to delivery through to sale and settlement
• An all-rounder who possesses a can-do ‘no job is too big or too small attitude
• Exceptional relationship building skills, driven through outstanding communication - verbal and written
• Excellent organisational and time management skills and attention to detail
• The ability to prioritise effectively and thrive in a busy environment
