The opportunity
As a Customer Service & Sales Specialist, you'll deliver outstanding sales and customer service across face‑to‑face, phone and digital channels. You will identify customer needs, respond to enquiries, provide information on Independent Living villages, book inspections, and support sales activities at villages and events. You’ll also draw on your knowledge of Uniting’s broader services to cross‑sell and up‑sell where appropriate.

You’ll be a key member of both the Customer Service Team and the Independent Living teams, working collaboratively to provide seamless, customer‑centred service.

What you’ll do

• Generate and qualify leads through face‑to‑face interactions, phone calls and digital channels.
• Support sales at events, displays and open days, including booking inspections and assisting with on‑site sales.
• Manage incoming enquiries confidentially and professionally, ensuring accurate information and timely follow‑up.
• Engage with customers using digital platforms such as online chat and social media.
• Accurately record customer information in designated systems and maintain Independent Living waitlists.
• Build positive, collaborative relationships with customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
• Contribute ideas to improve service, processes and customer experience.
• Uphold Uniting’s values, Code of Conduct and workplace health and safety standards.

About you
You are a confident, customer‑focused sales professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is driven by strong service outcomes. You bring:

• Around five years’ experience in a similar field, with excellent communication skills.
• Strong face‑to‑face, phone and digital sales experience, including negotiation and presentation skills.
• High‑level organisation and time management skills.
• Advanced computer literacy and experience using client or data management systems.
• The ability to work well both independently and within a team, with strong attention to detail.

• Experience in Independent or Retirement Living sales or the property sector.
• Experience with Dynamics CRM 360 or similar systems.
