This is a unique opportunity for a CAD / Hardware Design Engineer to contribute across the full design lifecycle, combining hands-on 3D CAD expertise with broader hardware engineering and integration exposure.
\n
\n - Develop high-quality 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using Creo ParametricDesign and validate mechanical and electrical components and subsystems for complex vehicle platforms
\n - Produce and maintain engineering documentation in line with standards and regulatory requirements
\n - Conduct tolerance analysis and support design optimisation to ensure manufacturability and performance
\n - Support prototyping, integration, testing, and validation activities
\n - Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated design solutions
\n - Manage CAD data, drawings, and configurations within PLM systems (e.g. Windchill)
\n - Ensure compliance with engineering standards, export controls, and security requirements
\n
What you’ll need to succeed\n
\n - Degree, diploma, or equivalent in Engineering or a related discipline
\n - Proven experience in 3D CAD design (Creo Parametric preferred)
\n - Experience in design and manufacturing environments (defence, automotive, or heavy vehicles advantageous)
\n - Strong understanding of engineering drawings, materials, and design principles
\n - Experience with tolerance analysis and design validation
\n - Work on highly secure, nationally significant defence programs
\n - Exposure to advanced engineering and vehicle design technologies
\n - Collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment
\n - Strong long-term career pathways within the defence sector
